Precautions to Take for Jumping Fish

Many types of fish like to jump out of the water; such as hatchet fish, or yellow swordtails. When you purchase an aquarium you should make sure that the tank has a lid on it. Many times with new aquariums all you will get is an over head light. You should choose one which will also cover the entire top of the fish tank. This will stop and fish from jumping out of the tank. Whenever you purchase a fish it is a good idea to ask if the fish you want likes to jump; if they do not know, be cautious.
