Police brutality and abuse of force: trait of the job or mismanagement? Why these force abusers are protected?
In Portland, OR, every couple months police uses excessive force: recently, a schizofrenic killed (beaten) by police, a month ago a man with a found wooden fake gun shot to death by police, some time ago, another woman shot to death (had no gun) just because she was driving away from a policeman, 3-4 years ago, a man with mental illness shot to death (had no weapon). Is it only in Portland, or everywhere?
I was asked for more details:
o The schizoefrenic man beaten to death couple weeks ago: James Chasse, link: http://www.katu.com/news/4421741.html. Google for more.
o The woman shot when trying to drove away: Kendra James, link: http://flyservers.registerfly.com/members5/policecrime.com/killed/or_police.html
I think it is common today what you are saying. I hear stories like this a lot, and it’s not getting better. They do stick up for each other and in a way I don’t blame them. They have a tough job that I know I wouldn’t want. I will say there are a lot of good Cops that get a bad reputation because of the bad ones. What would help is every six months have them take Drug tests, and a polygraph test.

They cover for each other. But you can write a complaint. Then they’ll shake like Jello

Need more info. I’m sure all these stories have a lot more to it. I can tell you, if you hold a fake gun around a police officer, expect to die quickly.

If they didn’t take these measures there would be 4 dead cops instead of 4 dead criminals.

If you worked everyday with the worst of society you would understand. If somebody pulled a wooden gun on me, I would shoot him dead too. Why would anybody be stupid enough to pull a gun on the police? The police have the right to take your life and liberty. What you all are failing to realize is that when it comes to a choice between them or me…I’m going home. My life isn’t worth $32,000/year. And as for them getting away with it….they are investigated just like every other crime. A law enforcement agency a level above them comes in and does the investigation so that it is impartial. And of course it happens everywhere, because there are stupid people all over this country who think it might be fun to pull a fake gun on a cop.

insufficent facts of the case. Did time as a cop and parttime Deputy now, most cases the person did something to earn their ticket getting punched.

The punk police will continue this if we don’t stop them. The FBI and police have declared war on us after that protest in Philly. They beat the sh!t out of some people. Thats ok though, we are not taking this sitting down. I will not hesitate to hit right back. Its time these racist abusers learned that we are not afraid of them.
You know who we are pigs! And you better believe we know who you are! When you see that black flag and all those masks, you better be prepared for battle! B!tches!
And to the asker, you will probably have this question deleted as well as my answer from all the punk cops complaining. White suburban America does not understand the level of abuse the police inflict upon the rest of us. Don’t let that stop you from showing people this, continue telling the truth, they will see soon enough! Peace (unless your a pig, than F*ck you!)
