Hydrogenated Fats and Cholesterol Lowering Foods

Trans-Fats are created by food manufacturing processes. A process called “hydrogenation” takes place when cheap vegetable oils have hydrogen added to them. This is done to make them solid and less likely to become spoilt. But trans-fats can give rise to atherosclerosis which is the narrowing of the arteries and hence are even worse than saturated fat for our heart.
When you are seeking to eat many more cholesterol lowering foods in your diet you need to especially look out for trans fat in any ingredients labels on the foods you eat, as it is a disater for your health to eat trans fats, and you should avoid them at all costs.
