Nothing actually …
Nothing actually happens when you add water to starter fluid. Only very small amounts of diethyl ether will dissolve in water, that’s what you want. The mixture you get from doing what you described gives you heptane,hexane,diethyl ether but with less ether than you started with and the same amount of hydrocarbons.

yeah, except drinking a solution of diethyl ether w/ isopropyl rubbing alcohol solute in it is too toxic to imagine… i mean, very similar side effects experienced by alcoholics of prohibition; who drank (almost anhydrous)methanol/”moonshine” and ultimately went blind. so don’t drink any of what you got if it says it has isopropyl mixed in. in fact, don’t drink raw ether. just take like 300mg of benadryl, which has ether in the diphenhydramine hydrochloride molecule. much safer.

yeah after a little wiki research you are indeed right! usually mixed with alcohol. Sorry dude I figured that would kill ya. I was looking cause I stumbled upon some but not diethyl its isopropyl(can’t spell) do’nt know if its the same or not but I got a lot for free. Makes ya feel a little funny after just a few whiffs. Expiary says 2002? didn’t know a solvent can expire? And yeah these guys are idiots.
