This is a question that gets asked a lot… why do you gain wait when eating a food and others who eat the same food don’t gain any weight? The answer could be a lot more complicated, but let’s take a look at this on a fundamental level about why this might happen.

The first thing to really consider is your metabolism. If your metabolism is much lower than somebody else’s then you will pack on more fat. This happens because they have a greater percentage of their body weight being lean muscle mass. The more muscle mass you have the higher your metabolism and the more calories you will burn.

So if you want to fix this situation, you need to put on more lean muscle mass by using weight training. However, don’t use this as an excuse to eat bad foods. Eating bad foods should never be done or be done only on a very moderate basis.

This really highlights an important concept many people don’t understand… losing weight by just dieting with very little to moderate exercise is great, but you must build lean muscle to support a growing metabolism. These days there is a thing has being skinny obese.

There are other issues that could cause you to gain more fat eating foods that don’t affect other people. However, to this point, I recommend that you ask your doctor because it could be things like an insulin resistance or many other things. Just know that you have to have the full package of fitness that all use the best ways to lose weight put together.
