If you are determined to get six pack abs then read on.
To get washboard abs you should first focus on your diet.
Eat clean unprocessed foods. They do not have to taste bad. Just make sure to limit the amount of junk food you eat.
Start out by eating foods like lean meats, fruits, vegetables, and nuts. These are indeed the kinds of foods that will teach your body to burn fat and build muscle.
Also limit the amount of starchy carbs your body gets. Eat foods like cereal, oatmeal, bread, pasta, and rice for breakfast or after a workout only. Any other time and you will gain more fat.
