Is there a law that considers parents who let their children get obese, as child abusers?

I am working on a paper I’ve done some researching and cannot find any laws or cases where parents are considered as having committed child abuse if they let their children become obese. I just wanna double check that before I write a whole paper about how there should be a law for childhood obesity being a form of child abuse.
there should be.

I would like to see Law and Order do an episode on this one! In cases of all out neglect there should be…but, I have never heard of it.

There is no written law that I am aware of. But, if the nutrition of a minor causing health problems such as obesity can be attributed to the parents, then the parents could possibly be charged with negligence, endangering a minor, or neglect. This all depends on the state.
