How come all reports of child-abusers in the local papers are of men…?

…when one in ten convicted child-abusers are women?

Does the Press have a feminine agenda, or do stereotypical demons sell papers?

Don’t feel bad. Most women do time for it as to where many men walk for the crime.

Yes, women are suppose to be child bearers and have maternal feelings. Its the same with domestic abuse, its always the men we hear about but you can be assured that women commit it its just not reported as much, I imagine shame has something todo with it.

I think your right. Its much more difficult to demonise women. You know when! I first left school I worked in a factory that was about 98% female all around the age of 40/55….They were far worse than any dirty old men that you can imagine, and as an "initiation" they stripped me off and rubbed me all over with with cooling oil from the machines. That was 1966 and I was 15 years of age, and all it was to me was a laugh and a joke. Part of being a young man in a factory full of women. You take that sittuation to NOW and make it a group of men doing it to a 15 year old girl!!!! Christ it would be in the papers for a year and prison sentences would be handed out all over the place. Men have always unfairly taken the Brunt of sexual offences within the legal system.

Well there’s been a few high profile cases in England recently, so hopefully they’ll raise awareness of the fact that there are female child abusers out there.

However, the vast majority are men, and this figure is even higher when you move from physical abuse to sexual abuse.

Let us not forget that by the time a boy reaches the age of 13/14 he would probably be able to defend himself against a female assailant. It would not be the case the other way around.
