them after they die, but talented good honest family people like the guy that wrote Gumby ( I forget his name) , don’t? It is very unfair.

When they were alive their families always had lots of money and now when they are dead, they left their families with means to still make more money. Its all about the money my friend…

Top 10 reasons why to avoid drug abusers?

January 25, 2010 - 4:36 am 2 Comments

im doing this play in which i play a person who like to keep distant from drug abusers and dealers in life no matter how close they are to me.
soo i wanted your help in coming up with a rather funny, interesting but at the same time believable list of” top 10 reasons why I avoid drug abusers"
thanx in advance

My top 10 reasons to avoid drug abusers:

1. I don’t like walking around with my hand on my wallet. It looks like self-abuse and the ladies look at me kinda funny.

2. At parties, they’re likely to dive under the table when my girlfriend is helping herself to the punch; they may not actually be looking up her skirt but I’d rather not take the risk.

3. I just hate the whole rigmarole of having to report my stolen mobile to the police, then conveying the complaint docket number to the cellphone company to get the number blocked, then applying in triplicate to have the number assigned to a new SIM card… and having to pay for all this, plus the new instrument. It’s just too much.

4. They see things I can’t. I’d rather that we all saw the same things. It’s hard to battle Mediaeval Knights when one can’t see them, especially when all one wants to do is sleep because it’s frickin’ 2 a.m.!

5. They keep saying, "Man" and I don’t like to be reminded that I’m over 40.

6. Women are attracted to them because they are wild and dangerous. At least, all my girlfriends who went with them told me that. Maybe I’ll invest in some pills… the blue kind…

7. They get more sympathy than I do.

8. They’d probably be able to think up 8th, 9th and 10th reasons, while I have to rely on logic.

9. Every woman I know wants to change them, which makes them blinking chick magnets! I’m already husband material, so no one is interested.

10. They don’t answer. Not even at Yahoo! Answer. That makes them mysterious. Guess what that does to the women???

Since when is the alternative medicine section for drug abusers?

December 24, 2009 - 9:26 am 6 Comments

I’m pretty loose on my medical drug standards and enjoy a nice bong hit every now and then but jezz every alternative medical question that comes up has to do with illegally popping pills. At least pot is legal in some states. Taking pills without a script, giving pills to friends that are on same script, or trying to figure out dosage of oxy to get high. WTH!!!!
Thanks for agreeing looks like parents need to control what their kids are doing on the net more eh?

It’s a blight on this section, imo, as are the posters who appear to be here to contribute nothing except downplay any alternative to mainstream drugs. After all, this is the Alternative Medicines section, not the Drug Users and Denialists section.

It would not be a very wise political thing for Yahoo to have a drug users section. I realize that all the druggie questions generate more traffic and adverstising dollars, but that is no justification to me for allowing such questions.

Just my two cents.

Is Xanax consumption considered as a drug addiction?

November 27, 2009 - 10:05 pm 2 Comments

Our family physician prescribed Xanax for my mom’s tension and panic attacks. Lately, I’ve noticed that she’s taking in more than what’s required. Is my mom a drug abuser? Does she need treatment?

If your mom’s consuming more Xanax than what’s prescribed by the doctor, then she may be abusing it. Although Xanax has beneficial effects, over consumption of it also has negative effects. I think it’s time to intervene with your mother. I’ll post some sites where you can find tips for intervention and lists of rehabs that may provide treatment.

How can a person have cirrhosis of the liver when they are not a drinker or drug user?

November 5, 2009 - 12:06 pm 7 Comments

My mom has portal hypertension and they keep on saying she has cirrhosis but they done a biopsy not that long ago and it was fine, no liver damage or disease.

How could this be? She has never drank. She is not a drug abuser. She only takes her blood pressure and water pills.

Why?
She won’t even hardly take a tylenol or motrin when she is hurting. She will suffer it out before she would take anything.
She does not have hepatitis

Cirrhosis is scarring of the liver tissue. This can be caused by hepatitis as well as a bunch of other reasons…check out this wikipedia link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cirrhosis

Why are Drug Abusers Put away but Rapist and Murders set free ?

November 3, 2009 - 4:09 am 4 Comments

Politics that is all I can say. Our Justice system is a joke and for me working in the Justice system I see it every day just how unfair and how much Justice isn’t blind like our system is suppose to be. If you have money and can afford a lawyer you get a slap on the hand, but if you don’t have money and only have a public defender you get a completely different sentence. It sad how much it goes on.

Why are so many former atheists who convert to Christianity drug abusers?

It’s great they’re Christian now, but what’s with all the cocaine?
Hey just ask about former atheists who are now Christian. I always see one guy talking about his drug addiction.

they are substituting one mind alterating drug for another.
