Paralegal Certificate programs

After deciding to pursue a career as a paralegal, it’s important that the paralegal certificate program you enroll in is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA). Most hiring attorneys place a heavy emphasis on this and will most certainly ask about it during an interview. At a minimum, you’ll need a bachelor’s degree, understanding of legal ethics, vocabulary and experience to enroll. In some instances, a minimum GPA may even be required, but that’s not normal.

Other than in California, you can still become a paralegal without a certificate. However, like with other jobs, you will most likely have to make up the difference with experience.

During their massage courses, massage therapy students learn obvious things like how our bodies work and all the physical techniques they need to master before they go out into the world and enjoy their new career. However, to heighten the experience of their client and get them enthused about coming back for more, the massage therapist training also teaches a student about the environment in which a massage takes place i.e. the atmosphere. Typically a massage therapist works from a room (for privacy reasons) and will be principally trying to get their client to relax more. They will need to learn all about calm and soothing music to play in the background and soft dim lighting, maybe fragrances, the softness of the towels their clients lie on etc etc. As you can see, a massage therapist training school isn’t just about massage technique.

What is sports massage?

Typically when you go and have a massage, the massage therapist directs his/her efforts on a general area e.g. whole body or shoulders and neck. In sports massage therapy courses you are taught to focus more on specific areas which can be before or after training, or when dealing with a sports injury. An overlap with medical massage is there and a therapist would typically work for sports clubs, fitness centers, and private clinics. A firmer pressure is usually applied than say in general relaxation type massages (e.g. Swedish massage) and are designed to help prevent and treat injury instead of relax all your stresses away.
