Achieving ISO 9001 with a Quality Management Syste
In order to achieve ISO 9001 certification an organisation needs to establish, document and implement a quality management system. The quality management system should be maintained in order to continually improve its effectiveness in accordance with legislation, international standards and best industry practice. The processes that contribute to meeting the requirements of these standards should be determined.
The overall scope of the Quality Management System certification should be clearly defined. Should the organization outsource any process that may affect product conformity to the defined standards of the Quality Management System then ISO 9001 requires that the organisation should assume control over this process.
